Where are you located?
Currently, I am located in the southwestern part of Virginia. More specifically the Bluefield, VA area. I work frequently in Wytheville, Roanoke, Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia. Also, I frequently accept bookings nationally and internationally in addition to local business! The opportunity to travel and do what I love is always considered and I love working with clients out of my immediate area! So if you're more than a drive up the street, don't worry! I'm more than happy to accommodate you as long as I'm available!
Do you offer trial runs or consultations?
Yes! My goal is for each of my clients to feel totally comfortable and satisfied with services provided. Typically, brides book first and then do the consultation closer to the wedding day to get their day reserved early and keep the makeup fresh in both our minds. Also, I do my best to schedule the consultation on days that are beneficial to the bride, such as when bridal or engagement photos are scheduled. However, if you would prefer to do a trial run before booking, I'll do my best to accomodate you!
What’s is required to book an appointment?
Currently, I'm booking one to two years in advance. Because of this, I do encourage people who are interested to lock in their date as soon as they can. The busiest time for booking is winter the year prior to the coming wedding season.
To quote pricing for booking, I need the following information: Date of the event, location, and number of people needing makeup services.
To lock in the date for weddings, I require my service agreement and questionnaire be completed and signed as well as the 50% nonrefundable retainer fee being paid.
What kind of makeup do you use?
I don't like to be boxed in when it comes to choosing what works best for each client. I use many different brands and a lot of time and research goes into choosing each item in my kit. I like to stick to prestige and professional brands. I keep NARS, Chanel, Sonia Roselli Beauty, Natasha Deanna, Pat McGrath, Cinema Secrets, Anastasia Beverly Hills and many other brands in my kit!
Before each item goes into my kit to be used for my clients, I purchase the same product to try on myself to test staying power and for sensitivities. If it passes my tests, then I'll use it on my clients. Everything must be Kearston Approved!!
Do you travel or do I have to come to you?
I do either! Typically, for weddings I travel to the venue to make it easier on my bridal parties. Travel is included up to a certain distance. Inquire for more information!
However, if I am doing makeup for prom or another special events, I'll allow my clients to come to me. I have a home studio space that is great for hosting a few guests. It really just depends on everyones availability!
